"We sat by the fire, the chill kept at bay by the warmest of blankets swirling with images of flowers with an eagle feather in the centre.  He caught me admiring it. 'You know eagles and eagle feathers in my community are very respected and revered.' he said. 'Whenever you find one in your life, or are given one, it means that you are on the right path, you’ve earned it, and gone through something hard and you’ve come out the other side better than you were before'.  I paused, looking at it in a whole new light, considering why it had been lent in the first place before pulling it tighter as the light of the flames danced before us" - Diary of a Glen Shepherd

This blanket was designed by Patrick Hunter, a 2 Spirit Ojibway artist, graphic designer, and entrepreneur from Red Lake, Ontario, Canada.  It was commissioned by The Campaign for Wool Canada, a patronage of HM King Charles III, to celebrate the beautiful, natural and sustainable properties of wool.

This blanket is heirloom quality, manufactured by the family-owned English mill A.W. Hainsworth using buttery soft Merino wool certified by the Responsible Wool Standard—a voluntary standard that address the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on.
